Overview
This Level 2 Administration Assistant apprenticeship provides the opportunity to gain practical experience supporting customer service and production teams within a manufacturing and distribution business. The role focuses on providing accurate administrative support, processing customer orders and enquiries, and helping coordinate the information and paperwork needed to support the delivery of products.
Apprentices will develop practical skills in data entry, order processing, customer quotations, purchase orders and maintaining company systems and records. The role also involves monitoring incoming enquiries, directing them to the appropriate teams, releasing orders into production, maintaining organised files and completing general administrative tasks while ensuring information is accurate and handled appropriately.
The apprenticeship is suited to someone who is organised, confident communicating with others, able to use initiative and interested in developing a career in administration and customer service. Alongside practical workplace experience, apprentices will complete the Level 2 Administration Assistant qualification with Luminate Education Group, attending Leeds City College Printworks Campus one day each month. A full-time permanent contract is likely upon successful completion.

Training to be Delivered
- Develop practical administration skills by receiving, processing, recording and storing information and data accurately.
- Learn how to process orders, update records, manage customer information and use software systems to support routine administration tasks.
- Develop professional communication skills when responding to customers, colleagues and other stakeholders using appropriate language and organisational procedures.
- Learn how to handle confidential information securely, follow organisational policies and procedures, and protect data from security threats.
- Develop skills in planning, prioritising and reviewing administrative tasks, managing time effectively and meeting agreed deadlines.
- Learn how to identify and resolve routine issues, seek clarification when needed and escalate problems appropriately.
- Develop skills in maintaining professional relationships, handling feedback and working effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Learn how to use cloud services, communication tools and other digital systems to share information and support collaborative working.
- Complete a nationally recognised Level 2 Administration Assistant qualification alongside practical workplace experience
