FAQs

A lot of students get nervous about starting, can you help?

We understand that starting a new college can be overwhelming for many students, but we’re here to help. We run holiday campus tours where everyone is welcome to get to know the college and our facilities to ease the transition for students. We work closely with schools and careers advisors to organise taster days, transition talks and assemblies.

When should someone apply?

We’re open for applications from October, which gives an 11 month headstart before the year begins. Applications should be sent in as quickly as possible though, as courses can fill up faster than you think.

Where will students be studying?

It all depends on the course! Different subject areas are based in different buildings. Use our prospectus to find out where each course is delivered or check out our campuses pages.

What are your entry requirements?

It varies from course to course. To find out what a particular course needs, take a look at the course page on our website or check on the entry requirements page.

In our annual induction survey, 97% of our students agreed that their teachers help them to work to the best of their ability.

In 24/25, over 7,500 students (16-19 year olds) enrolled to study at Leeds City College.
