Leeds City College School Liaison Team wants to work with you!

Are you a school, college or education provider?

If you are a school or provider in the local authority, our friendly Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) qualified team would love to support you with raising your students’ aspirations and supporting their transition into post-16 education.

Whether your school is hosting a careers convention, parents’ evening, drop-in session or assembly, we would like to support you. We can provide information on each of our subject areas, along with updates on the range of courses, apprenticeships, and career options available to prospective students. We also cover student finance, student life, and the college application process.

Our IAG-qualified School Liaison team is made up of teachers, performers, explorers, musicians, foodies, footie fans, cyclists, and more. But most importantly, they are further education experts, champions of equality and diversity, and here to help your students with their options.

We would love to support you with…

Careers fairs | Parents’ evenings | Bespoke transition talks | Assemblies | Curriculum experience sessions | Taster days | Campus tours | Progression workshops

FAQs

A lot of students get nervous about starting, can you help?

We understand that starting a new college can be overwhelming for many students, but we’re here to help. During school holidays we run holiday campus tours where everyone is welcome to get to know the college and our facilities. We work closely with schools and careers advisors to organise taster days, transition talks and assemblies.

When should someone apply?

We’re open for applications from October, which gives an 11 month headstart before the year begins. Applications should be sent in as quickly as possible though, as courses can fill up faster than you think.

Where will students be studying?

It all depends on the course! Different subject areas are based in different buildings. Use our prospectus to find out where each course is delivered or check out our course pages.

What are your entry requirements?

It varies from course to course. To find out what a particular course needs, take a look at the course page on our website or check the prospectus.

What are your terms and conditions for working with schools?

All the details of our offering can be found in our service level agreement.

When are your open days?
