Overview
This Level 3 Engineering Fitter apprenticeship provides the opportunity to develop practical manufacturing and assembly skills while gaining hands-on experience in an industrial production environment. Apprentices will work alongside experienced staff to learn how industrial hose assemblies are prepared, manufactured, inspected, tested, and finished to meet specific customer requirements.
The role involves working with different hose types, fittings, materials, and connections, as well as developing skills in cutting, measuring, marking, crimping, assembly, and finishing. Apprentices will also learn how to interpret engineering drawings and work instructions, carry out quality checks, record important production information, and identify and solve problems. Alongside workplace experience, apprentices will attend college one day per week to work towards their Level 3 qualification.
The apprenticeship is suited to someone with an interest in engineering who is organised, practical, attentive to detail, and comfortable working as part of a team. On successful completion, there is the possibility of progressing into a full-time position.
