Overview
This Level 3 Machining Technician apprenticeship provides the opportunity to gain practical engineering experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. The role offers training across both CNC Milling and CNC Turning, allowing apprentices to develop a broad range of machining skills under the guidance of experienced engineers. Alongside hands-on experience, apprentices will attend one day of college each week to build their technical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles.
The apprenticeship focuses on learning how to operate CNC machinery, interpret engineering drawings, use precision measuring equipment, and manufacture high-quality components to industry standards. Apprentices will also develop an understanding of quality assurance, health and safety, and workplace organisation while working in a professional engineering environment. The programme is designed for individuals with strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and an interest in engineering, with the potential for a full-time position upon successful completion.
