About School of Sport Science & Exercise

Welcome to the School of Sport Science & Exercise

The School of Sport Science & Exercise trains students in practical and theoretical sports knowledge, allowing them to progress in their careers across wellness, sports and coaching industries. With flexible courses available, including online and part-time options, students can choose from Level 1 to 4 qualifications, BTECs and diplomas to prepare for further study or employment.

After completing our courses students can progress to various roles. These roles include: professional sports player, fitness instructor/personal trainer, physiotherapist, sports coach, physical education teacher, sports massage therapist, leisure centre manager, outdoor recreational activity leader, and sports development officer.

The school has established a network of strong local partnerships, providing industry knowledge and multiple career paths for its talented athletes, therapists and instructors.

Where will I learn?

Based at our Park Lane Campus, the School of Sport Science & Exercise makes the most of its professional onsite facilities, as well as enjoying a wide range of connections with external organisations. Industry links include Firehouse Fitness, i2i Football Academy and Leeds Rhinos Foundation.
