What Our Students Say

“When I first came I didn’t know anybody at the college but because it’s people you’re surrounded by and people with similar interests to you, you do make friends quickly and you make really close friendships with people because you’re listening to the same things and you’re going through the same things, and you can help each other as well.”

Eve

“The decision that made me pick between here and other places was when I came to the open day everyone was just really friendly and open, and it just felt like a really welcoming environment to be in.”

Charli

“The tutors here, they are really interactive and they’re always there, even outside of lessons whenever you need something, we don’t go around calling everyone Sir or Miss, second names – we use first names for everything and there’s a more relaxed and friendly communication between the tutors and the students.”

About School of Enterprise & Employability

Welcome to the School of Enterprise & Employability

At the School of Enterprise & Employability, students embark on a journey to uncover their aspirations and hone their skills through a variety of projects and enterprise-focused disciplines. By working closely with employers, the school ensures that students can choose from courses that meet the demands of the contemporary job market.

We offer Level 1 and Level 2 courses tailored to either personal and employability skills development, or Creative Craft courses at our RE: workshop (based at our Mabgate Campus). These Creative Craft courses, delivered from our dedicated workshop, offer instruction in basic joinery skills intertwined with the principles of upcycling and furniture recycling.

The School also provides opportunities for Level 3 and Level 4 apprenticeships across various fields, including Event Management, Marketing, Project Management, and Community Mental Health and Wellbeing. Through these apprenticeships, students can delve deeper into their chosen disciplines, gaining practical experience and valuable insights into their respective industries.

Where will I learn?

The School of Enterprise and Employability is based primarily at our Somerville House Campus, however some of our provision is also delivered at our Mabgate Campus, a vibrant Leeds location.
