About the Department

Our Travel and Aviation department provides a range of exciting courses that let students’ careers take off. Students can train to work as air cabin crew, passenger service agents, ground handling staff, tourism development officers and resort representatives. Students gain industry insight from guest speakers, relevant visits and work experience opportunities.

What courses do you offer?

We offer lots of exciting courses including: Travel and Tourism, Travel and Tourism (European Work Placement), Air Cabin Crew, and Aviation Operations.

What are the progression routes from your courses?

Progression routes are available from Level 1 to Level 3 within the department. University Centre Leeds also offers a degree in Tourism and Aviation as further progression for Level 3 students.

What industry links and partnerships do you have?

We have industry links with, Leeds Bradford Airport, Malmaison, Hilton Hotel and Swissport. Additionally, this year we have teamed up with Eurocamp to provide you with an amazing opportunity of working abroad while studying Travel and Tourism Diploma Level 3.

Does the college offer any financial support for students?

Students are able to apply for the college bursary which can pay for travel passes, college meals and trips or visits. Students with children can also gain support with childcare to support their studies.

We are based at Printworks Campus.
