Introduction
Professional Accounting/Taxation Technicians use specialist knowledge to prepare and implement tasks that support the creation of tax returns.
Overview
Found in all manner of organisations from small companies to global organisations, Accounting/Taxation technicians work across all sectors – pubic, private and third. They may work in taxation, finance or accounts teams within an organisation, or for a professional accountancy firm. They work with internal and external stakeholders, taking a risk-based view of transactions and data to help identify, and mitigate risk. Accounting/Taxation technicians are responsible for completing and quality-assuring tax returns, as well as providing taxation data. Key skills required include digital competency and the ability to keep up to date with changes within the occupation.
