Our Level 2 Preparation for Apprenticeships programme combines classroom learning, real employer experience and individual support to help you progress towards an apprenticeship, employment or further study.

We offer two exciting pathways that will offer you a broad range of opportunities. Leeds United Foundation Pathway. Work alongside the Leeds United Foundation and gain experience connected to one of Leeds’ most recognised sporting organisations.

This course is designed for 16–19-year-olds who:

• Want an apprenticeship but haven't secured one yet
• Need more workplace experience
• Want to improve their confidence and employability skills
• Are unsure which career they want to pursue
• Want practical experience alongside classroom learning
• Want support with applications and interviews

This course is for anyone exploring professional careers

Course units/modules

• DISCOVER- Identify your strengths, interests and career goals.
• DEVELOP- Build your communication, teamwork and professional skills.
• EXPERIENCE- Work with employers through your chosen pathway.
• PREPARE- Build your CV, complete applications and practise interviews.
• PROGRESS- Apply for apprenticeships, employment or further study.

Entry requirements

• GCSE grades 3 in English and Maths.
• A reference from your last place of education.

Assessment types

You will be assessed through a variety of methods, including witness statements provided by employers, practical demonstrations and reflections, written assignments, and professional discussions.

For those resitting GCSEs, there will be opportunities to retake exams in both November and May, depending on your grading profile at enrolment.
