Create to your heart’s content on this Art & Design course. Using drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture, you will construct striking artwork reflecting different themes and contexts. You will develop key digital skills, learning how to utilise animation software, adobe applications, and digital and photographic processes effectively. You will also gain skills in traditional and digital art disciplines - opening up a world of opportunities for your future career.


Who is this course for?

If you’re in year 11 or 12 and are looking to take the next steps towards your career, this course is for you. Foundation in FE is a full-time course for students aged 16-18 who may have missed some of their schooling, due to ill health or challenging personal circumstances. Students may also have not achieved the grades they need to progress, or may not know what route they’d like to take in the future. Students combine academic study with practical skills, study in industry-standard facilities and use our industry links to prepare for progression.

Units / Modules

Students will work towards non-accredited RARPA targets alongside maths and English qualifications. Students can choose to complete this programme over one or two years.
