What Our Students Say

“So the tutors are great for a number of reasons – they’re casual, you don’t feel like you’re being forced to do anything that’s uncomfortable, they’re not strict, they’ll have a laugh with you if you want to and they know how to get stuff done when they need to if we’re on a bit of a time crunch, but they also know how to have a bit of fun and not put pressure on you – and they’re great, they’re always there to give you information if you need it for at-home tasks and they’re always on Google Hangouts to message you if you need anything and they get back to you really quickly.”

Rachel

“When I first came I didn’t know anybody at the college but because it’s people you’re surrounded by and people with similar interests to you, you do make friends quickly and you make really close friendships with people because you’re listening to the same things and you’re going through the same things, and you can help each other as well.”

Eve

“I’m working really well with my tutors – they’re really supportive and we just have a laugh. It’s like a really nice atmosphere. I think the facilities are really fantastic.”

About Engineering & Manufacturing

Electrical, manufacturing, mechanical – whichever branch of engineering you are interested in, we have courses to help you prepare for further study or employment. Based at our Printworks Campus, you will learn from engineering experts in our industry-standard facilities.

Our courses are varied and interesting – in addition to teaching you skills and knowledge specific to your chosen specialism, you will receive training in health and safety and employer-sought engineering principles.

Fully-equipped workshops house all you need to engineer success. Whether it’s maintenance, manufacturing or fabrication and welding, you will gain practical experience in environments that prepare you for the world of employment. By the end of your course, you will be ready to start work in your chosen field, or progress to further study.

Alongside our study programmes we offer apprenticeships and T Levels. Engineering apprenticeships are a great way to learn as you do the job – you’ll earn a wage, and on successful completion, gain a recognised qualification. T Levels combine the hands-on experience of working for a real company with academic learning. We offer three T Levels within engineering and manufacturing. Both apprenticeships and T Levels can help get you to university or progress straight into employment.
