Our Quieter Open Events provide all the information and opportunity you would expect from a Leeds City College open event, but in a quieter environment. They are ideal for those wanting to avoid the hustle and bustle of our larger events, providing the time and space for detailed conversations about your transition to college.

Temple Newsam

Home to the School of Animal Care & Land Management, Home Farm at Temple Newsam houses our animal care courses. One of the largest working rare breed farms in Europe, students gain hands-on experience raising and caring for animals.

Temple Newsam Campus

  • Classrooms in the Tudor – Jacobean Temple Newsam House
  • 200 acres consisting of parks, lakes, gardens and ancient woodland
  • Home Farm – one of the largest Rare Breed Survival Trust (RBST) farms in Europe
  • Animal Care Centre – houses approximately 50 species of small animal
  • Victorian glass house with walled garden including herbaceous borders and a beautiful rhododendron walk
  • Campus bus service – for college students only, this runs directly from the bus station and costs £5 per week. For learners on bursary this would be free
