Temple Newsam Open Event April 2024
Are you interested in working with plants or animals? With courses in animal management and horticulture, whether it’s green-fingered skills or animal care you’re interested in, our School of Animal Care and Land Management has a course for you.
Meet the animals and tour the facilities at our open event: Saturday 27th April 2024, 10am
Please note, due to the nature of the farm, booking is required, and we ask that prospective students bring only one additional person to accompany them.
Please arrive promptly at 10am.
When you arrive one of our students or a member of staff will take you on a tour of our fabulous farm and animal care centre. These small group tours provide the ideal opportunity to ask any questions you have.
And before you leave you have the opportunity to apply and be interviewed – the perfect end to your visit!
How to get to us
By bus:
You can travel from East Leeds to Temple Newsam via the FlexiBus and it will bring you directly into the estate. The bus can be ordered 1 hour before it is required and operates between 7am- 7pm Monday – Saturday. Fares start from just £1.20. Alternative bus services that run in the area include the 19 and 19A. It is a short walk from the bus stop to Temple Newsam.
By train:
Temple Newsam is located 1.9 miles from Cross Gates train station, an approximate 35-minute walk.
By car:
From the M1 take junction 46. Temple Newsam is a short drive from this exit, there is on-site parking available.
