A Vehicle Damage Panel Technician repairs, removes, and replaces vehicle body panels in a collision repair workshop, working to manufacturer specifications with expert knowledge and precision.

Overview

A Vehicle Damage Panel Technician works independently or as part of a team to identify, repair, and replace vehicle body panels to a high standard. They stay up-to-date with evolving vehicle technologies and use specialised tools such as alignment jigs, resistance welders, riveting and bonding equipment, and diagnostic tools for materials like carbonfibre. Technicians follow manufacturer guidelines and safety systems to ensure accurate repairs. They understand chassis alignment, panel identification, and the impact of repairs on vehicle systems like suspension and steering, working across various vehicle types, including those using alternative fuels.
