Introduction

Vehicle Damage Paint Technicians work to prepare, spray and finish vehicles that have been damaged in collisions or other incidents.

Overview

Based in the vehicle repair sector of the motor industry, Vehicle Damage Paint Technicians prepare, spray and finish cars or light commercial vehicles that have been involved in collisions or incidents. The role includes colour matching and working to manufacturer specifications. Work usually takes place within a repair workshop, under the supervision of a fully qualified Paint Technician.The role involves following defined processes and demonstrating the understanding of spray painting technology, paint composition and the various methods of spray painting vehicles.
