Technicians work in collision repair workshops, identifying and repairing damaged mechanical and electrical vehicle components. They assess faults, remove and refit parts, carryout diagnostics, and ensure repairs meet manufacturer safety and performance standards. Working independently or under supervision, they handle systems such as engines, gearboxes, suspension, and electrical components. Tasks include preparing reports, using diagnostic software, removing non-structural panels, and valeting. They ensure correct alignment and performance of all refitted parts.
