Course Information
Introduction
Designed to give you a solid foundation for further study in the hair and beauty sector, this Level 1 Diploma is available in a choice of three pathways: Hairdressing, Beauty, or Media Make-up.
Once you have selected your specialism, you will be introduced to the theory, as well as getting creative with hands-on practical assessments to boost your skills and confidence. This Diploma is perfect for those who want to progress to Level 2 study.
Who is this course for?
Passionate 16 – 18-year-old’s who want a career in the Health and Beauty industry.
Course units/modules
This qualification forms a part of fifteen units that will support your practical and theory work.
You can also choose from optional units including: hand and nail care, foot and toenail care, make-up application, skin care, nail art, face painting, blow-drying hair, winding skills, shampooing and conditioning hair, plaiting hair, colouring hair using temporary colour.
Entry requirements
3 GCSE at grade 3 or above to include English or Maths.
Assessment types
The course comprises some practical assessment and theory written assessments.
Please note that for all courses starting on 9th September, there will be an induction week, WC 2nd September.
