Introduction
The Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Electrical Installation (450) are for learners who are interested in developing the specific technical and professional skill that will lead to meaningful employment in the electrotechnical industry. Learners will explore a wide range of industry areas including principles of electrical science, inspection and testing, and electrical system diagnosis.

Who is this course for?
This qualification is for you if you are a 16+ year old learner, who wishes to work as an electrician in the building services industry. It has been designed to deliver a high level of occupational skills and provide a platform from which to progress through further learning or into employment. This vocational route at level 3 is a vital step towards becoming a competent electrician.

Entry requirements
You must have successfully completed a relevant Level 2 Electrical Installation qualification.
You will also normally need a minimum of Grade 5 in GCSE Maths and Grade 4 in both GCSE English and GCSE Science.
Prior to enrolment, you will be required to successfully complete a written entry examination. The examination is based on the knowledge and skills developed during Level 2 but is assessed at the standard expected for progression onto a Level 3 programme.
Your Level 2 achievement, GCSE profile and performance in the entry examination will be used to determine your suitability for the course.
