You’ll explore specific areas of science such as diseases, physiology, genetics, astronomy, and more. You’ll also strengthen your application of organic and inorganic chemistry, develop practical and experimental techniques, and build up your analytical and research abilities. At the end of this course, you’ll walk away with a National Certificate that’s equivalent to half an A level.

Entry requirements
Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English, Maths and Science.
Available apprenticeships and progression options
You can progress to a second year of study to achieve your Extended Certificate and overall Level 3 qualification, equivalent to 1 A Level.
