As an apprentice LGV Technician at LC Vehicle Hire you will work under the instruction of qualified technical staff in order to learn and gain an understanding of all aspects of a LGV Technician role.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
- Learn to work safely at all times within the workshop and yard
- Learning the fundamentals of Light Vehicle technologies – Light Vehicle chassis, engine, fuels, transmissions, hydraulic braking, electrical systems, and testing
- Learn all aspects of LGV auto electrician work
- Learning how to service, maintain and repair a range of different manufacturer light commercial vehicles and ancillary equipment
- Ensure all job cards and service sheets are completed in a timely manner, keeping a through record
- Liaise with parts department to identify and order parts
- To attend college and pass all theory tests to NVQ level 3
- To represent LC Vehicle Hire in a professional and courteous manner always when dealing with customers and the public

We are a well-established company, founded in 1957, and specialists in commercial vehicle rental. Our Business has 5 rental depots, with modern, fully equipped workshops in the North and South of England. From these depots we operate over 2000 vehicles of which approximately 1000 are LGV.
