Student Voice

Student Voice is at the heart of everything we do at Leeds City College. Throughout your time at college we will encourage you to use your voice to make positive changes to the student experience.

Whether this is through surveys, feedback forms and petitions, becoming a Member of College Parliament, debating current issues or representing students as part of our fantastic Students’ Union you will have plenty of chances to have your voice heard.

The college is committed to listening and acting on student voice and will ensure that you see how your feedback makes a difference.

Social Action

As part of our commitment to developing students’ employability skills, Leeds City College offers numerous opportunities for students to engage in social action.

Social Action projects are an opportunity for students to make a positive difference in their communities or at college. The Student Life Enrichment team supports students to plan and deliver projects that develop skills and experience in their areas of study or something they are passionate about.

For more information about current projects, visit the LCCSU website.

Leadership

At every stage of the student journey Leeds City College promotes opportunities for students to develop leadership skills.

Whether it’s being a Member of College Parliament, Sports Leader, Ambassador or Society Leader, engaging in social action projects or as part of the Students Union, there are opportunities across the college to develop these skills and improve the student experience.

Opportunities are promoted throughout the year with amazing training opportunities offered to support students and build confidence.

Sport Opportunities

From social activities to chances to represent your campus or college, we have a wide range of opportunities for students to engage in.

Our sports provision allows students to keep fit, meet new friends, develop skills and represent their campus or college.

Campuses compete against each other in four key sports (basketball, football, table tennis and eSports) as well as a number of one-off events throughout the year as part of the Luminate Cup. Get involved in activities to be in with the chance of representing your campus.
