Overview
The Level 2 Finance & Accounts Apprenticeship at Avondale Medical Limited offers an excellent opportunity to begin a career in finance within a specialist medical business services environment. Based in Otley, this 15-month programme combines hands-on workplace experience with structured training, leading to a recognised qualification in accounts and finance.
Apprentices will gain practical experience across a range of core finance functions, including processing invoices, allocating payments, issuing patient and insurer billing, and maintaining accurate financial records. The role also involves supporting month-end reporting, running financial reports, and assisting with general office administration and HR-related tasks, providing a well-rounded introduction to finance operations.
Working within a professional and supportive team, you will develop strong technical and organisational skills while gaining experience using industry systems such as Midexpro and Carebit. The role is ideal for someone looking to build confidence in financial processes, improve attention to detail, and develop analytical and numerical skills in a real-world setting.
Alongside on-the-job training, you will study towards your qualification with Luminate Education Group, building a strong foundation for future progression into roles such as Accounts Assistant or Finance Administrator. With further study and experience, this apprenticeship can lead to higher-level qualifications and long-term careers in accounting, finance, or financial management.
