Introduction
Digital Community Managers facilitate and instigate, online communication between an end user/customer and an organisation.
Overview
Found in organisations and industries such as videogaming and software provision, this role is present in organisations that interact with their customers online. Digital Community Managers are the public face of companies and communicate ideas and information from customers – the ‘community’ – to the organisation, and will also communicate information from the company back to the community. Work is fast-paced and autonomous -individuals need to be able to respond to communiations quickly, without time for supervision. As such this is a role that carries a high degree of responsibility and requires good judgement on the part of the employee.
