Overview

This qualification aims to provide learners with the skills, knowledge and understanding needed where the assistance and movement of people is part of their role. The qualification underpinned by the safe principles of moving and handling but recognises the special skills required when assisting and moving people.

Who is this course for?

It’s suitable for those in work, or starting or returning to work and who need specific training in the movement of people safely. It can also be used as for refresher training.

Entry requirements

We recommend learners are a minimum of 16 years of age. Learners, whatever their age, are physically capable of completing the practical assessment. It is also advised that learners have a minimum of Level 1 in English.
