As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
CNC Competency Development – Achieve competency as a CNC operator, including programming and basic maintenance.
5S and Lean Manufacturing – Engage directly with 5S principles, performing regular audits to drive workplace improvements.
Continuous Improvement Projects – Participate in small-scale improvement projects for hands-on learning and practical application.
CNC Operations Streamlining – Assist in optimizing CNC processes to support Roann’s modernization goals.
Advanced Skills Training – Receive training in cutting and polishing quartz stone, building on CNC expertise
About the Employer
Roann Limited are the only dedicated high-rise residential and house builder worktop suppliers and installers in the UK. We have an established customer base with some of the largest house builders and contractors in the country such as Taylor Wimpey and Vistry Partnerships. Based at our factory in Wakefield, we have over 30years’ experience in manufacturing and installing worktops. Our purpose-built factory has over £2m worth of state-of-the-art stone manufacturing machines and equipment that enable us to fabricate 15,000 worktops per year. In addition, we are proud to have achieved high accreditation with many of the industry’s leading health & safety schemes.

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Working towards a Level 2 Lean Manufacturing Operative apprenticeship standard. 4 day working week on site, 1 day per week at Print Works Campus / Leeds City College. Apprenticeship hours are 37-40 weekly (TBC).
