Introduction
This technical certificate gives you the equivalent of two GCSEs whilst strengthening your business knowledge. Learn how to engage with real businesses and apply your knowledge to this dynamic and energetic industry.
Overview
Develop your business and enterprise knowledge with exciting, hands-on learning. You will explore multiple elements of business and gain an understanding of basic enterprise principles, such as finance and law. You will be introduced to a range of business environments and will examine what’s necessary for them to be successful, along with learning how businesses can adapt to the digital era. You will also research and pitch your own business idea to potential investors – giving you the chance to engage and apply your knowledge to real-life businesses. This course is equivalent to two GCSEs.
Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone in years 11 or 12 looking to take the next step towards a career in enterprise or business. It is particularly ideal for individuals who want to combine academic study with practical skills, study in professional-standard facilities and take advantage of our industry links.
Course units/modules
The course has one externally assessed unit (exam) in The Business Enterprise Environment. The remaining three units are internally assessed through different assessment methods, such as assignments and pitching business ideas.

Entry requirements
Four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English and maths. This course also gives you the opportunity to resit English and maths.
