Course Information
Introduction
This is a one-year City and Guilds diploma course designed to provide you with a range of key management skills. It helps build leadership capabilities, and supports adult students (19+) to develop their existing careers or embark on a career in leadership and management.

Overview
The course provides knowledge and understanding across a range of core management skills; team leadership and performance management; managing people and relationships; and supporting people with change and innovation. These principles will be taught in a variety of business contexts and through a wide range of methods – including classroom teaching, independent study and online learning. You will expand your knowledge and understanding of leadership and management through real business examples, as well as case studies and your own experience.
To be awarded the City and Guilds Diploma in Leadership and Management, you will study a range of modules totaling 37 credits.
The course will be taught one day a week starting September 2023 and will finish in June 2024.
Who is this course for?
This qualification is ideal if you have management responsibilities but no formal training and are serious about developing your abilities, skills and knowledge. It is particularly suited to practising team leaders looking to move up the career ladder, or managers who need to lead people through organisational change, budget cuts or other pressures. The course is also ideal for employers who wish to develop existing staff who aspire to manage teams, or who are already leading a team but want to develop their skills and knowledge whilst gaining a recognised Level 3 qualification.
