Course Information

Overview

This qualification is aimed at anyone involved in the management of fire safety and is based in an area where fire is a risk.

Learners gaining this qualification will understand that fire safety is the responsibility of everyone, and will recognise the causes of fire, common hazards and fire risk assessments. It can support those already in a workplace role or learners preparing for employment.

  • Hazards and risks
  • The control of fire risk
  • Principles and practice of fire safety management at work
  • The role of the nominated fire warden

Entry requirements

We recommend learners are a minimum of 16 years of age. Learners, whatever their age, are physically capable of completing the practical assessment. It is also advised that learners have a minimum of Level 1 in English.
