Our commercial restaurant Printworks Kitchen & Bar won the Best Café accolade at the Yorkshire Evening Post’s Oliver Awards.

CityConnect Gold Standard Bike Friendly Accreditation (2018)
Leeds City College became the first Further Education provider in West Yorkshire to be accredited as a gold standard bike friendly business.

Maths Centre of Excellence (2018)
Leeds City College was the first college to be named a Maths Centre of Excellence. The college provides opportunities for students at all levels to succeed and progress in maths.

Pearson Teaching Award (2017)
Leeds City College’s ESOL department and a sports lecturer each won a Silver Pearson Teaching Award in recognition of life-changing impact.

Google Reference College Status (2017)
Leeds City College became one of two Further Education institutions in the country to be awarded Google Reference College status for use of G Suite for education.

AoC Beacon Awards Engaging Employers Category (2014)
The Association of Colleges (AoC) Beacon Awards celebrate the most innovative practice among UK Further Education colleges. Leeds City College won for its work with employers.

This standard is a national equality standard and is designed to encourage organisations to become more inclusive. Leeds City College was awarded this standard.

Positive About Disabled People (2014)
The college was awarded the Positive About Disabled People Standard. These commitments are reviewed each year by Jobcentre Plus.

PR Week Decade of Achievement (2014)
The marketing team received a Decade of Achievement Award for strategic internal communications. Our campaign was named Best Internal Digital/Social Campaign.

Matrix Accreditation (2014)
The Matrix Standard is nationally recognised for information, advice and guidance services. This accreditation reflects our high quality services that meets our students’ needs.

TES Further Education (FE) Supplement Awards (2013/14)
Leeds City College was nominated for the Employer Engagement and Outstanding Use of Technology categories of these national Further Education awards.

National Computing Centre Accreditation (2013)
Our IT team gained accreditation from the government’s National Computing Centre (NCC) for outstanding IT practice. The college is the first FE college in the UK to achieve this.

Investors in People Accreditation (2013)
This accreditation is the UK’s leading people management standard. It provides a framework to help thousands of organisations to improve how they manage and develop their people.

NIACE Adult Learners’ Week Award (2013)
Artist Becky Holdcroft, a workshop student was one of three Yorkshire and Humber regional winners. The student organised the Postcards from the Edge event to fundraise.

LSIS Leading the Learner Voice Awards (2013)
The Students Digital Programme at Leeds City College was highly commended in the Imaginative Approaches to Learner Voice category.

College Marketing Network FE First Awards (2013)
Leeds City College won Highly Commended for its entry in the 14-19 Campaign category. This award recognised our This Time Next Year…? summer campaign.

Institute of Motor Industry Awards (2013)
Our courses gained industry recognition after being shortlisted for an international award. Racing stars and industry heads attended The International Historic Motoring Awards.

City Development Directorate’s Award for Excellence Partner of the Year (2012)
The college was awarded the City Development Directorate’s Award for Excellence for Partner of the Year for its successful collaboration with Leeds City Council.

Artsmark Gold (2012)
This national award accredits high quality arts education and is Arts Council England’s flagship programme. In 2012, this was awarded to our School of Creative Arts.

Best UK Hospitality College (2012)
This award considers the quality and breadth of provision, innovation and enterprise. Leeds City College was named Best UK Hospitality College 2012 by the Craft Guild of Chefs.

Heist Awards (2012)
Leeds City College received the silver award for Marketing Department of the Year and silver for Best Student Recruitment Campaign (UK) for our Your Tutor summer campaign.

Innovative Industry Partnership Award PACE (March 2012)
Leeds City College gained industry recognition and scooped an award from the Professional Association for Catering Education (PACE).

West Yorkshire Lifelong Network Awards (2012)
