Biscuit buyer, super shopper, sparkly pink enthusiast.

Kirsty is a programme manager and oversees the Childcare Level 1  and counselling courses at Rothwell Centre. Initially, she qualified as a nursery nurse and went straight from college to working for the NHS. She became the first hospital play specialist at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary where she provided therapeutic play for sick children. Kirsty previously worked as a childminder and has co-owned a children’s day nursery for the last 15 years.

“I started teaching at Leeds City College in 2012 and I am now working as one of the programme managers, I love it! I enjoy working as part of the School of Childhood and Education and find it rewarding getting to know my students, supporting them through their time at college, and seeing them progress and gain their qualifications with us.”
