Kevin O’Hare
Head of Visual and Digital Arts
Connect Four artist, blues harpist, ideas addict.
Kevin continues to create and exhibit artwork and play improvised music. He encourages new ideas at Leeds City College such as having an Artist in Residence, the sponsorship of Yorkshire Sculpture International and the siting of a new public sculpture at Quarry Hill. He represents the college at Leeds Visual Arts Network and works closely with local organisations including Games Republic, East Street Arts, The Tetley, and Leeds Playhouse.
“I believe an arts education is vital in creating independent, innovative and confident young people who are able to express themselves and thrive. The creative industries need motivated individuals, so the real purpose of Visual and Digital Arts is to give students the skills to realise their ideas and reach their potential. Our learners leave us with a passion.”
