We are offering client’s fun and quickly produced quality fayre (without being a microwave diner).

The menu will have a theme around pizza, however we are also looking at a morning Cafe service and tapas menu.

We have plans for various theme nights offering different cuisine such as Thai, Korean, Indian and Persian.

All these ideas will depend on the desire and ambition of the overall team.

Further education will be covered for and encouraged, we are also exploring secondment to specialist’s establishments to give us a wider range of taste offerings.

All the team will be grafters, looking for things to do and being focused on being in the moment whilst on duty.

Our front of house style will be uber friendly table service, with clients relaxing and not having to look for service or go to the bar.

Every role will include prep, cleaning, pot washing, glass collecting, taking and delivering table orders, smiling.

Our team will work as a team, shifts will be flexible and will fly by.

Everyone will be able to earn above the minimum offered package, through tips, bonuses and rewards schemes.

About the Employer

The Lord Addingham is being relaunched as a village pub having been closed since last summer. Formerly called the sailor. The employer have signed a 20 year lease on this Free House premises. We are excited about the possibilities with its location at the Gateway to the Dales and its extensive outdoor facilities. I hope to add accommodation to the offering in the future. The early joiners to the team will be able to influence and have the chance for some lifelong memories and great CV tags.

Training to be Delivered

Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship Standard Level 2

Training to be Provided by Leeds City College

Employer and Work Location: The Lord Addingham, LS29 0PD

Mode of delivery: One day a week in college.

You are required to attend a pre-selection interview at Leeds City College before an employer interview.

Course content:

  • Using clear and engaging communication.
  • Performing activities to positively promote business and sales.
  • Handling payments, transactions, stock and packaging to minimise financial loss.
  • Preparing and organising your own workload.
  • Promoting unique selling points of the business.
  • Using technology in line with the business needs.
  • Contributing in meetings.
  • Working in a way that minimises the negative effects on the environment.


The apprenticeship is aligned to professional recognition from employers within the food and drink sector. It will consist of an on-demand test, practical observation and business project, followed by a professional discussion. These are carried out

after the apprentice has met the required criteria to pass the gateway process. The apprentice is graded a pass, distinction or fail based on their performance in the end-point assessment.
