Working with our amazing nurturing head Chef, you will be very much part of the brigade family form the off. Be able to learn not only from the head chef, but a wide team, who have various experiences. You will be assisting with preparing the food, keeping areas tidy and cooking for the customers too!

Overview

You will be assisting the Head chef with general day to day working within the hotel restaurant.

Your duties will inclued:

  • Catering for tours
  • Assisting with conferences/ function
  • Catering for small table of ad hoc diners in the restaurant
  • Cleaning/ tidying
  • Preparing the kitchen for service

Training to be Delivered

During your apprenticeship you will be enrolled at Leeds City College (School of Travel, Food and Drink) and will complete the following programme:

Level 2 Commis Chef Apprenticeship

This programme allows students to develop their skills, knowledge and behaviours through the practical period at college as well as in the work place doing on the job training

Duration & start date:

This is a 21 month apprenticeship (18 months for the practical period which includes the day release at college and 3 months for the end point assessment). Potential career progression opportunities are available upon completion.
