University Centre Leeds makes the top 10 FE Colleges list at the Whatuni Awards
University Centre Leeds was among the top FE colleges shortlisted for an award at the Whatuni Awards (WUSCAs).
The WUSCAs are an annual celebration of the best universities in the UK – as voted for by past and current students.

The glamorous red carpet ceremony took place at the Brewery in Shoreditch, London, and was hosted by stand-up comedian Omid Djalili.
The overall result came from the 2019 Whatuni Student Choice survey which saw more than 41,000 student reviews from 160 institutions across the UK submitted to this year’s rankings.
University Centre Leeds Director, Janet Faulkner, praised the lecturers and support staff for the accomplishment and for creating a vibrant, welcoming and all-encompassing environment that has had a positive effect on present and past students.
“We are truly honoured to have been among over 100 institutions who were nominated this year, and among the top 10 FE colleges in the country to be recognised for offering a fantastic provision where our students can excel. The glowing reviews are a confirmation of this wonderful achievement.
“What is more significant is being the only FE provision in West Yorkshire to have been shortlisted for the FE Award, which is a remarkable feat,” she said.
The Whatuni student rankings are based on averages taken from thousands of reviews submitted by students and recent graduates, which can be found on Whatuni.com.
This year, a dedicated student review team from Whatuni travelled over 43,000 miles across the UK and collected over 41,811 reviews from current students who shared their best experiences and their favourite highlights.
