Known as Vine, Queenswood Education Centre is our Headingley hub for learners with severe and complex learning difficulties. It ensures that students’ needs are catered for, allowing them to reach their potential. Vine has multiple classrooms and care facilities incorporating tracking hoists. Individual medical regimes are taken care of, in conjunction with NHS services. Learning programmes are created around your individual EHC* outcomes alongside the development of life skills, communication, and independence. We understand all learners’ needs vary and Vine learners will need a high level of support. We support each of you to be as independent as you can be as you prepare for adulthood. *Education Health and Care (EHC) plan. An education, health and care (EHC) plan is for children and young people aged up to 25 who need more support than is available through special educational needs support. EHC plans identify educational, health, and social needs and set out the additional support to meet those needs.Your local authority can carry out these assessments if they are not already in place, search EHC at gov.uk for more information.
