This qualification will develop your understanding of the principles of healthy eating and the role of food in maintaining good health. You will increase your confidence with planning and following a healthy diet. You will also learn how and why your dietary requirements may change throughout your life. Additionally, you’ll learn how to understand food labels.

Fee: Free for unemployed adults who are UK residents. It is available for other adults but charges may apply.

Course Information

This qualification is fully online and is suitable for anyone aged 19+ with an interest in healthy eating. There are no formal entry requirements, however, you will need basic digital skills to be able to complete the online programme.

Once you have applied, we will carry out a short skills assessment and signpost to other courses if this is not the appropriate course for your needs.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements, however you will need basic IT skills.

Career Progression

Progression may include the Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care Certificate Level 3 or Working in the Health Sector Certificate Level 3 qualifications, hospitality and catering courses or exercise and fitness qualifications.
