Take your first steps into work or further study with The Prince’s Trust Team Programme, an invaluable short course for young adults (16-24) looking to develop their skills.

Course Information

Work towards a Prince’s Trust certificate on this motivating, skills-enhancing course. Designed to boost young people’s confidence through personal development and challenging activities, you’ll have the chance to develop key skills and meet new people - all while working towards a useful qualification. Experience an exciting residential trip, complete a work placement and make a positive difference to where you live through a group-focused community project. You will also be supported into work, an apprenticeship or on to further study.

Who is this course for?

This course is for young adults who currently aren’t working or studying. It’s also ideal for anyone who wishes to develop employment, education and training skills in a fun, hands-on environment.

Students will work towards a Prince’s Trust Award or certificate and complete the following units:

  • Planning for Personal Development
  • Teamwork
  • Community Project
  • Work Placement
  • Career Planning
  • Supporting Others in the Community
  • Presentation Skills

There are no entry requirements for this course, but students must be able to commit to the full programme and attend a residential placement.

Students who completed the TEAM programme have progressed on to an apprenticeship.

Facilities

Community projects completed by TEAM students have improved the local environment and included creating green spaces, tree planting and art projects.

Trips and Opportunities

A previous Leeds City College Prince’s Trust student won a regional Prince’s Trust Award and now represents the Trust as a Youth Ambassador, giving public talks to audiences of over 800 people.
