2020 saw the department create a new relationship working with the Royal Marines that gave learners the opportunity to visit the Royal Marine Commando Training Centre Lympstone. All learners now have the opportunity to experience life as a recruit, experience the world renowned ‘sheep dip’, be put through your paces on the bottom field, and have a go at unbearable gym tests. Learners listened to guest speakers from the RAF regiment and British Army, as well as various charities such as The Royal British Legion and Help for Heroes.
