The course covers the Level 3 entry requirements for the Level 5 subject specific numeracy teacher education programmes.
You will study two from the following three units:
- Using mathematics – academic subjects
- Using mathematics – professional and vocational contexts
- Using mathematics – public and personal life
Please note, this is an online course lasting for 15 weeks roll-on, roll-off.
The cost for this is £500 with no concessions available.

Entry Requirements
GCSE Maths at grade 9-4 or equivalent (Functional Skills or basic maths at Level 2).
Please note, there is no requirement to undertake practical teaching.
Career Progression
Progression may include the Numeracy Subject Specialist Diploma Level 5. Additionally, this award also complements generic teacher training courses such as the Education and Training Award Level 3.
This award is also appropriate for teachers of other subjects to improve their knowledge and skills in mathematics.
