Level 4 Healthcare Science Associate
Course Information
The apprenticeship is aligned to professional recognition within the NHS and
other healthcare providers. Apprentices will be assessed at several stages
during their apprenticeship, this includes:
- A vocational competence observation
- A professional practice test
- A professional discussion
- This apprenticeship will also include the completion of a L4 Diploma in
Healthcare Science and completion of all of these elements will lead to the
graded apprenticeship award

Who is this course for?
You will be compassionate; honest; conscientious and committed and will consistently adhere to the standards of Good Scientific Practice which sets out for the profession and the public the standards of behaviour and practice that must be achieved and maintained in the delivery of work activities, the provision of care and personal conduct of the healthcare science workforce appropriate to the role undertaken. This course provides a natural progression from our L2 Healthcare Science Assistant apprenticeship.

Entry Requirements
You will need to successfully complete a baseline assessment in English and Maths.
Career Progression
This apprenticeship can either lead straight into a Healthcare Science Associate role or progression onto the Level 6 Healthcare Science Practitioner apprenticeship.Course Details

The working week is usually 37 hours and as with any role within the NHS will include shifts and on-call duties
