Course Information

This qualification allows learners to enter the world of internal quality
assurance (IQA – sometimes known as internal verification) within vocational
assessment settings. It meets the recognised standard for IQA and forms part of
the Learning & Development suite of qualifications.

Students will learn about the principles and practices of internal quality
assurance and how to plan and carry out internal monitoring activities in their
own area. They will attend three monthly workshops to learn the knowledge
relating to the principles and practices of IQA and have access to individual
tutorials around these contact times to plan for IQA and gather evidence of
competence in this area with coaching from experienced tutors.

This Level 4 course provides learners with an understanding of internal
quality assurance as it relates to vocational assessment and their role within
the process. It is aimed primarily at those who already have an understanding of
assessment through work as a vocational assessor but additional support may be
provided for those who are completely new to the role.
