This qualification is designed to provide learners with the knowledge to ensure safe and effective exercise programming for patients with a number of medical conditions. It also covers the common reasons for referral on to a community-based exercise scheme.
Course Information
There is a continuing rise to the UK’s average life expectancy, however,
there is also a rise in the amount of people suffering with chronic illnesses
and conditions like heart disease and obesity.
It is imperative that health and fitness professionals have a sound
understanding of such conditions and the impact these can have on the
individual. The Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral will enable students to
work with and better support existing clients but also branch out and work with
organisations such as the NHS.
Course is a mixture of theory and practical based units.
