This is a one-year BTEC Technical course which is equivalent to two GCSE’s. The course has one externally assessed unit (exam) in The Business Enterprise Environment. The remaining three units are internally assessed through different assessment methods including assignments and pitching business ideas. The course will allow progression onto level 3 or apprenticeships whilst allowing the opportunity to resit English and/or Maths.

Course Information

The Technical course is an exciting way to develop your knowledge of business and enterprise with a hands-on approach. You will gain an understanding of basic enterprise principles such as finance, law and business environments including how businesses may adapt to the digital era. You will also research, develop and pitch your own business ideas to potential investors! The course will also allow you to engage with real businesses and apply your knowledge to the real world of business.


Who is this course for?

If you're in year 11 or 12 and are looking to take the next steps towards your career in enterprise or business this course is for you. The course covers a range of enterprise topics and combines academic study with practical skills. Study in industry standard facilities and use our industry links to prepare for progression.
