Course FAQs
Can I put existing members of staff on to an apprenticeship?
Yes, we will need to meet with you to discuss what the employee already does on a daily basis and to make sure that the apprenticeship will teach them new knowledge and skills. From here, we will then be able to allocate the most appropriate apprenticeship to their job role. If you are unsure about this, please contact the team on 0113 284 6464.
How often do apprentices have to attend college?
This completely depends on the programme. Some of our offerings include a day release, others offer a block release and some are delivered entirely in the workplace. Regardless of delivery method, all apprentices must have 20% of their contracted hours dedicated towards apprenticeship work. You can be creative with this and your business engagement advisor will help you lay out a training plan to match this but this is the minimum requirement for all apprenticeships.
