This course is designed to help parents, grandparents, carers and other adults learn the first steps in basic First Aid, so they learn how to recognise signs of an emergency, understand when to dial 999 and provide the most basic first aid.

Course Information

This course is for local community adults (parents, grandparents and carers)
aimed at giving them confidence to know what actions to take if faced with a
medical emergency.


This course is for anyone over 19 who wants to learn baby and child first aid
for their everyday life, rather than as a requirement of their job (in which
case a workplace course could be more suitable).

Who is this course for?

It is ideal for parents, expectant parents, grandparents and other family members, and anyone who is often around babies and children.

This is course focuses on babies and toddlers and being able recognise signs of an emergency, understand when to dial 999 and provide the most basic first aid. This course can help adults understand how to keep a baby or toddler safe and prepare them with the skills and confidence to be able to help in a medical emergency.
