This Ofqual-regulated qualification will give you everything you need to successfully deal with equines in need of emergency treatment. Covering the most common emergencies including: gastrointestinal emergencies, bleeding and fractures, cardiovascular emergencies, lameness and poisoning. Please note: All practical elements will be completed with Donkeys at Home Farm on the Temple Newsam estate.
Course Information
You’ll gain a broad understanding of equine first aid, including handling techniques, equine first aid skills and knowledge of when to call a vet.
