This Ofqual regulated qualification will give you the knowledge and skills to work as a professional dog walker. The course will be delivered online over a period of 5 evenings plus a 1:1 assessment.

Course Information

This Level 3 qualification meets the higher standard licence requirements for
working in licensed establishments. Lasting two days, the course content is
broad and includes topics such as client care, health and safety as well as the
fundamental requirements for setting up a small business.


Available for any learner aged over 16, it is particularly relevant for
people who want to start their own business and those already working in
industries such as boarding kennels, doggy day care or rescue centres.


How to get to us


FlexiBus:


Students can travel from East Leeds to Temple Newsam via the FlexiBus and it
will bring you directly into the estate. The bus can be ordered 1 hour before it
is required and operates between 7am- 7pm Monday – Saturday. Fares start from

Alternative bus services that run in the area include the 19 and 19A. It is a
short walk from the bus stop to the college buildings.


Campus bus:


The campus bus will run from Leeds bus station directly to Temple Newsam
every day. It will cost £5 per week and is only bookable once the learner
enrols.


By train:


Temple Newsam is located 1.9 miles from Cross Gates train station, an
approximate 35-minute walk.


By car:


From the M1 take junction 46. Temple Newsam is a short drive from this exit,
there is on-site parking available.
