The purpose of this qualification is to increase your awareness and understanding of falls and their prevention, allowing you to progress into employment in healthcare or social care settings. You will learn about the impact and consequences of a fall, risks and hazards which cause falls, and how to reduce these risks. You will also explore the importance of recording and reporting falls, ensuring interventions can be implemented to prevent falls in the future.

Fee: Free for unemployed adults who are UK residents. It is available for other adults but charges may apply.

Course Information

This qualification is aimed at anyone aimed 19+ who intends on working in a healthcare or social care setting, particularly in a role that involves contact with older people who have an increased risk of falls. There are no formal entry requirements, however, basic digital skills and an interest in healthcare are ideal.

Once you have applied, we will carry out a short skills assessment and signpost to other courses if this is not the appropriate course for your needs.
