CMI5 Diploma in Management & Leadership

This qualification is a Vocationally Related Qualification (VRQ) that is aimed at middle managers to develop management and leadership skills.
The qualification is accredited on to the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) and is regulated by Ofqual in England and Northern Ireland and Qualifications Wales in Wales.
The qualification is aimed at practising or aspiring managers and leaders who are typically accountable to a senior manager or business owner. The primary role of a practising or aspiring manager and leader is to lead and manage individuals and teams to deliver aims and objectives in line with organisational strategy. Roles and responsibilities may also include but are not limited to developing teams and individuals, creating operational plans, planning and managing projects, managing change, managing finance, resources and identifying new approaches to business activities, managing quality and continuous improvement as well as managing the human resources function.

After completion of this qualification you can also continue your learning and progress on to the following qualifications: CMI Level 7 Qualifications in Strategic Management and Leadership. With an extended, more comprehensive structure, the Level 5 Extended Diploma in Management and Leadership gives you all the key skills and competencies you'll need to become the manager you want to be.

Learners will be assessed by a variety of means, primarily via written assessments; however there will be a variety of methods across each of the units. Assessments will include: Reports, Scenarios, Case studies, Presentations, Reflections on own experience etc.

This qualification is suitable for Learners from age 18 and who are in or aspiring to a middle manager role. There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification, but as a Learner you will ideally be working within an organisation or role where you can demonstrate skills and apply knowledge. Alternatively, you could draw on previous experience within an organisation or use an organisation you are familiar with.
